Welcome reception Join us from 6pm in the stunning Italian Garden and Guthrie Pavilion, on the Hever Castle estate. Enjoy sunset at the lakeside loggia. A light dinner will be served.

How do we get to Hever ?

Hever is on the Kent/Surrey/Sussex border set in rural countryside with good links to the UK motorway network. We're so excited to celebrate our wedding weekend with you all. However we do appreciate what a big commitment attending a destination wedding is so we completely understand if you wont be able to make it. Please find the details about travel to Hever below.

AddressHever Castle, Hever Road, Edenbridge, TN8 7NP We anticipate many of our guest will find driving most convenient. There is free parking at the Castle for all our wedding guests. By planeFor those flying in from Guernsey, Gatwick airport is just 30 minutes away by car. By train Trains run from&nbsp;London Victoria&nbsp;and&nbsp;London Bridge&nbsp;(via Oxted or East Croydon) to Edenbridge Town Station. You will then need to take a taxi for three miles to the castle, which is recommended is prebooked. Hever Station&nbsp;(next on the train line, unmanned and no taxis) is a one-mile rural walk to the castle.Plan your journey using the&nbsp;Trainline app.

Local taxis Due to the location of Hever Castle, it is essential that all taxis and transportation is pre-booked. It is extremely difficult to request a taxi for immediate pickup. Hever Castle  -  A Short History

Dating back to the 14th century, Hever Castle has a rich and varied history and was once the childhood home of&nbsp;Anne Boleyn, who became the second wife of Henry VIII and mother of Elizabeth I.&nbsp;It later came into the possession of King Henry VIII's fourth wife, Anne of Cleves as part of the settlement following the annulment of their marriage. Hever Castle still has one of Henry VIII's private locks, taken with him on his various visits to noblemen's houses and fitted to every door for his security. The castle is Grade I listed and has three floors containing antique furniture, Anne Boleyn's prayer books, instruments of torture, and a large collection of Tudor paintings. It also has the oldest working original portcullis in England. The grounds of the castle include a yew maze which was planted in 1904, a Loggia and beautiful gardens and lakes. Hever Castle We are delighted to confirm that there is Bed &amp; Breakfast accommodation available for our wedding guests on the Friday and Saturday night. If you are interested in joining us for the weekend and staying at the Castle please drop Andy or Sarah a line! The castle has beautifully individually styled rooms, some with four poster beds and roll top baths! Each bedroom offers its own unique charm and character. There’s also a rather splendid Billiards Room.
